Our research interest focuses on the structural and functional plasticity of the nervous system, in both health and disease. One major issue that we investigate is the role of neuronal Golgi Apparatus structure in epileptogenesis. Another project focuses on the role of the neuronal and astrocytic extracellular matrix receptors in synaptic plasticity in the brain, this also involves studies of pathological plasticity occurring in various forms of epilepsy.
